He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.

The limited capacity of our human understanding often leads us to dramatically underestimating God. We forget all too often that God not only knows the number of stars but spoke them into existence. In times of struggle, it’s easy to get caught up thinking there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. When we face hardship, we need to remember that our experiences fit into a bigger picture, a tapestry known only by God.
Look up and remember that the one who numbers the stars knows the end from the beginning, and cares for us in whatever our present situation is. (See also Isaiah 46:9-10, Revelation 22:13)
