Beroean.com started life as a biannual magazine produced for youth by the Churches of God in the North West of England (even though it read by people from all across the UK)!
The name for the magazine comes from Acts 17:11;
‘And the people of Bereoa were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.’
In a time when young people (and young disciples) can be caught up with the things of the world, they can be distracted by all “the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life” (1 Jn. 2:16 NLT).
The Beroean Magazine was meant to combat that, giving teaching of the big & smaller issues of life as a Christian.
However, after much thought and consideration, it was decided that it would work better online rather as an magazine printed only twice a year. That’s why you find us today as Beroean.com; we’ve republished old articles on this website as well as new ones that we still produce today.
We hope that as you read the articles that we publish that you too would search the Scriptures day after day to discern God’s truth.
With love in Him,
The Beroean.com Team
