I have always struggled with consistency and concentration in my prayer life so it was really exciting when I stumbled on the PrayerMate app.

PrayerMate is a practical and easy to use prayer accountability app.  Initially, you can make titled lists of prayer targets which go on to appear as little tabs that you can then edit to include specific prayer points for people or situations. It also generates other prayer lists that you can subscribe to. I particularly enjoy ‘World Mission’ as it draws my attention to different missions and works of Christian groups around the world that I can support through prayer. You can join prayer groups or create one with friends and family to pray about shared prayer topics. Furthermore, if you’re ever struggling to pray, there are short prayers on a range of topics that you can read and meditate on. You can also set personalised reminders within the app for a time that suits you.

As a bonus, there are many different scriptural devotional feeds by a range of authors which you can subscribe to; as well as short or long term prayer plans – there is even a Brexit Prayer Guide! My favourite devotional feed by far is ‘Heavenward by Scotty Smith’.
